There were a couple of traffic signs from my visit to the Netherlands that provided some levity during our tours around the country. This is one of my favorites. I think the translation of "glad rooster" is smooth grid, which in this case seemed to be the same as a cattle guard for us in the U.S. Perhaps someone that is Dutch will see this and chime in on what this means.I was also surprised that the sign was on the left hand side of the path.

I think in this case glad means slippery. Normally signs are placed on the right side or on both sides. Maybe there wasn't enough room on the right side.
